In the history of the World, some other important events recorded on the date of 7 December are as follows: -
➧ 1825: The first steam-powered ship 'Enterprise' reached Kolkata.
➧ 1856: The 'Hindu widow' is officially married for the first time in the country.
➧ 1889: The first car of the present form was built in the world.
➧ 1917: America becomes part of World War I and invades Austria-Hungary.
➧ 1936: Australian cricketer Jack Fillington became the first player in the world to score a century in four consecutive Test innings. Of these, 3 centuries came against South Africa and 1 against England.
➧ 1941: During the second world war, on this day Japan made a famous air attack on Pearl Harbor, USA. More than 2 thousand people died in this sudden attack. After this attack America jumped into the second world war.
➧ 1949: It was announced to celebrate the day of December 7 as Flag Day in India. Under this, the public could contribute financially by purchasing the token flags of the armies. In 1993 it was transformed into Armed Forces Inda Day.
➧ 1971: President Yahya Khan announced the formation of a coalition government in Pakistan in which Nurul Amin PM and Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto became the Deputy Prime Minister.
➧ 1972: Apollo 17, the last Apollo mission, was launched. This mission was for the moon. During the mission, the crew took the famous photo called The Blue Marble.
➧ 1988: A massive earthquake in Armenia killed about 50,000 people while more than 1 lakh were injured.
➧ 1992: On this day, the first ODI match was played on South African soil. South Africa was banned because of apartheid policy which was lifted. This ODI happened between India and the host team. South Africa won this match. In this match, South Africa's Capler Vessels became the first player to be dismissed by the video umpire.
➧ 1995: India launched communication satellite INSAT-2C.
➧ 2001: The Taliban gave up occupation of Kandhar in Afghanistan after several days of fighting. The US military achieved great success.
➧ 2002: Turkey's Azra Anin became Miss World.
➧ 2008: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda sacked Chandramohan as Chief Minister.
➧ 2008: Indian golfer Jeev Milkha Singh wins Japan Tour title.
➧ 2009: Climate summit begins in Copenhagen, Denmark.
➧ 2017: Pantone's 2018 Color of the Year was Ultra Violet.
➧ 2018: The court ruling by US federal prosecutors and special counsel Robert Mueller against Michael Cohen accuses President Donald Trump of campaign fraud and Russian behavior.
➧ 2018: Annegret Kramp-Karrnbauer was elected the new leader of the Christian Democratic Union Party of Germany, replacing Angela Merkel.
