➧ 2017: Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the country's longest, Chenani-Nashri road tunnel on NH-44 in Jammu and Kashmir to the nation. The new name of this tunnel is Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Tunnel which is a modern tunnel of 9 km length. It connects Udhampur to Ramban in Jammu.

➧ 2019: Lori Lightfoot was elected the first female African-American mayor of Chicago.

➧ 2020: The death toll in Spain reached more than 10,000 (10003) and recorded a record increase in one day with 950 deaths.

➧ 2020: According to Johns Hopkins University, the number of COVID-19 cases recorded so far is 1 million, with 1,002,159 cases and 51,485 deaths.
